One search produces different reports depending on how you search — by topic, or by PI/institution/foundation — each answering a different question that matters to you:

Foundation & TTO Reports

Use the "Search by PI, Institution, or Foundation" panel instead of Topic/Context.

1. PI Grants, Publications & Clinical Trials — "What has this researcher (or list of researchers) actually done?" Who it's for: TTOs triaging disclosures, department administrators reviewing their own faculty, foundations checking a grantee. What you get: every grant, publication, and clinical trial tied to one PI, or rolled up across an uploaded list — each scored on the new OniX Innovation Scale.

2. PI Group Overview — "Which of these researchers deserve a closer look?" Who it's for: anyone triaging a larger uploaded list (5-20 names) at a glance rather than reading each one individually. What you get: a rollup view plus a per-PI table, signal-scored, so the highest-priority names surface first.

3. PI Partnership Snapshot — "Is it the right time to approach this PI or researcher?" Who it's for: anyone doing a fast first read on a researcher before reaching out — BD, TTOs, foundations. What you get: a condensed working profile, not the full record dump — built for a quick yes/no, not exhaustive review.

4. Funder Acknowledgment — "What has this funding actually produced?" Who it's for: Program Officers and foundation Development/ Communications teams, as well as industry funders (pharma, biotech) tracking their own grant-funded research. What you get: publications and trials that structurally credit a specific funder's support — pulled from each publication's own funder metadata, not a text guess.

5. Foundation Grant Portfolio (coming soon) A foundation's entire grant portfolio viewed as one whole — every grant it's made, not just what one grantee has published.

6. Institution Invention-Readiness Scan — "How much of this institution's output looks patent-worthy?" Who it's for: TTOs prioritizing where to look first across many researchers, before committing to a full disclosure review. What you get: institution-wide output ranked by the OniX Innovation Scale's own novelty signal (first-in-class/breakthrough language, semantic novelty detection) — a prioritization signal built from App1's own literature and grant analysis, not a patent database search. Pair with App4's actual patent landscape once you know where to look first.

7. Org-Wide Funding & Publications Profile — "What has this whole organization produced?" Who it's for: TTOs, foundations, and BD teams sizing up an institution or company as a whole. What you get: every grant, publication, and clinical trial tied to that organization — the entity-level counterpart to the topic-level Comprehensive Research & Funding report.

8. Overlap/Duplicate Funding Audit (coming soon) Checks whether a researcher's grants overlap in scope with other funding they already hold — flags potential duplicate funding before it becomes a compliance problem for a sponsored-projects office, or a due-diligence question for a funder.

9. Organization News Monitor — "What's the real, relevant press about this organization?" Who it's for: Foundations, TTOs, and institutions monitoring their own public profile — or researching a prospect, partner, or grantee's. What you get: a relevance-ranked news feed for an organization — real research/funding/philanthropy coverage promoted over hiring ads and unrelated mentions.

10. Who's Funding This Investigator (coming soon) The reverse of Funder Acknowledgment — shows which funders are acknowledged across a specific investigator's body of work, instead of what one funder's money produced.

11. Co-Funding Pattern (coming soon) Shows which funders commonly get acknowledged together on the same papers — useful for spotting co-funding relationships and potential partners.

12. Portfolio Gap (coming soon) A cross-portfolio rollup showing where the white space is across a foundation's or institution's funded research.

Research & Competitive Intelligence Reports

1. Comprehensive Research & Funding (CRF) — "What's out there in this space?" Who it's for: anyone who wants the complete picture on a research topic. What you get: every matching grant, publication, and clinical trial found, each with an AI-generated plain-English summary, mechanism of action, development stage, and therapeutic potential pulled straight from the abstract. Real, not guessed, for ClinicalTrials.gov's own Asset/Stage fields — every other source's snapshot is AI-inferred and clearly labeled as such.

2. CRF Executive Brief — "What are the key findings, fast?" Who it's for: anyone who needs the CRF's headline findings without reading every underlying record. What you get: the same topic report as Comprehensive Research & Funding, shortened to the key findings with a table of contents.

3. Executive One-Pager — "Is this space worth a closer look?" Who it's for: anyone who needs a go/no-go read on a space in under a minute. What you get: a one-page screening view — record counts, a modality breakdown, a crowded-vs-white-space read on each modality, and the most active organizations.

4. Partnering Researcher Landscape — "Who's currently active, and who should we talk to?" Who it's for: anyone starting a partnering or licensing conversation who needs the right names first. What you get: ranks the people and organizations actually working in a space right now — grants first, publications second — each linking straight back to its real grant or paper.

5. Emerging Innovation — "What's actually novel here, not just active?" Who it's for: anyone trying to spot the standout signals in a large pile of research rather than reading everything. What you get: scans every record for concrete novelty language ("first-in-human," "novel," "breakthrough," "first-in-class") rather than just surfacing whoever is best-funded, with an adjacent-opportunity comparison showing related areas worth a look.

6. Target Validation & Opportunity — "What's the full genetic-target picture for this space?" Who it's for: pharma/biotech teams deciding whether a target is worth pursuing. What you get: the complete Open Targets disease-association picture for a topic — every disease association returned, known drugs/clinical candidates already in that space, and the same adjacent-opportunity comparison as Emerging Innovation. Only produced when the topic resolves to a real Open Targets target.

7. Funding Signal — "Who is actively funding work on my topic, and by whom?" Who it's for: anyone scanning a topic for active funders — BD, foundations, researchers scoping where the money is right now. What you get: every funder actively supporting work on a topic, pulled from 10 live government grant portals (NIH, NSF, UKRI, USASpending, ARC, CORDIS, NWO, ANR, JSPS, NHMRC) plus foundation funding records and publications' own funder-acknowledgment text — grouped by funder and tagged Government, Foundation, Industry, or Uncategorized.

8. Funding Signal — Publications — "Who has been formally acknowledged as funding published research on this topic, historically?" Who it's for: anyone who wants funding history sourced from what's actually been published, including funders that never show up in a grants-database search. What you get: funders drawn directly from each publication's own resolved funder-acknowledgment data — catches foundations and companies invisible to a grant-portal-only search.

9. Clinical Trial Site Experience — "Which sites have real, relevant experience running trials for this condition?" Who it's for: sponsors and CROs choosing trial sites. What you get: which hospitals/universities have actually run trials for a condition, each site paired with the specific condition studied there and a cohort snapshot (age bracket, sex) pulled from that trial's own eligibility criteria.

10. CT Protocol Benchmark & Design — "How does a draft protocol compare to the field, before it's locked?" (In Development — see note at bottom) Who it's for: anyone finalizing a trial design before submission. What you get: eligibility criteria and endpoints benchmarked against existing trials for a condition, with a Trial Complexity Score, comparison tables and chart images, a Phase Progression table by intervention, and a composite "typical eligibility profile + endpoint set" view — catches an over-strict or off-standard design early.

11. Preclinical Methods (In-Vitro/In-Vivo) (In Development) Who it's for: startups/biotechs planning early-stage work who want a free first-pass read of what's already been published. 12. FDA Preclinical Package Digest (coming soon) Who it's for: startups/biotechs who want a real teaching precedent. What you get: for an approved drug, a digest of the actual nonclinical studies FDA's own reviewers saw in that drug's NDA/BLA approval package (species/strain, group sizes, doses, route, duration, endpoints) — sourced from the regulatory record itself, not mined literature.

13. NIH Grant Trends (coming soon) Who it's for: anyone deciding whether a space is worth entering or has already peaked. What you get: category-level, year-over-year NIH funding trends for a topic.

14. Funding Match & Targeting (coming soon) Who it's for: researchers and grants staff preparing a new submission. What you get: which NIH Institute/Center and which funding mechanism (R01, R21, U01, SBIR/STTR, and others) actually fund work in this space.
